The Soldier is a class where he uses a rocket launcher to propel enemies in the air or to rocketjump, at the cost of part of his health. Though he wanted desperately to fight in World War 2, the Soldier was rejected from every branch of the U.S. military. Undaunted, he bought his own ticket to Europe. After arriving and finally locating Poland, the Soldier taught himself how to load and fire a variety of weapons before embarking on a Nazi killing spree for which he was awarded several medals that he designed and made himself. His rampage ended immediately upon hearing about the end of the war in 1949.
Strategy[]
- Use your rocket jump to get to hard-to-reach spots by other classes (except Scout and Demoman for some obstacle).
- Fire rockets at enemies' feet to propel them upwards, giving a little boost to damage.
- Watch out for Pyros; they can airblast your rockets back to you if you're not careful.
- Crouching and then jumping while executing the Rocket-jump will give you more propel time, at the cost of more damage.
- Open spaces is your advantage.
