The Pyro is a mysterious pyromancer who has a love for fire, and a myth of it being female, but it has nor been confirmed by Valve. However, Valve refers the Pyro as 'he' and 'she'.
Strategy[]
- Your Flamethrower is great for attacking enemies at close range. Use this as an advantage in a huge crowd.
- You are flame-proof, means you do not suffer from afterburns after being set by other Pyros.
- You excel at hit-and-run tactics.
- Your flamethrower chews up a ton of ammounition. Use fallen weapons to refill it.
- With the Backburner, ambush enemies behind to guarantee critical hits.
- You are great for Spy-checking. One puff of fire will nullifies a Spy's Cloak and Disguise.
- Help Snipers with the Huntsman by lighting their arrow on fire.

Trivia[]
- The Pyro is the only class to not have yet a 'Meet the Team' video, but Valve confirms that they finished 'Meet the Pyro' before they finished 'Meet the Medic' so they plan to release it with a major update to the game.
- The Pyro are right-handed, but when the Fire Axe is out, the pyro is holding it with its left hand.
- Voice commands and responses from this class is very minimal. This is the only class with a few voice responses.
